Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on adventure as we explore the science, engineering, and technology needed to explore Mars. Astronomy, rocketry, planetary science, mission planning and engineering, and space exploration technology are the basis for a week filled with interactive, experiential, fun activities.

Grades 6-8 and 9-12

Science Camp: Mission to Mars is a day camp and will run from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, as well as a closing event for campers and their families on the final evening, where campers will present their group's Mission to Mars. Registration fee is $150 ($75 with sibling or military discount, or for students who qualify for a school lunch program). Campers must bring their own lunch.

Camp Activities

Activities at camp are designed to be interactive, fun, and to provide opportunities for campers to use their imagination and skills to learn about space science as they plan a Mission to Mars. Campers will choose the goals of their mission, and the costs and technical challenges their mission presents as they learn about astronomy and planetary science, rockets and payloads, and about the history and future of space exploration. As an example, campers will build and launch model rockets, learn how to collect data and understand data about the rocket launches.Rocket launch!
