Bringing Science Camp activities to Your Classroom

Getting some soldering experience at Science Camp Camp is an incredible learning environment. Campers learn new skills without the pressures of tests, homework, parents, and busy schedules. At Science Camps students learn about volcanoes, rockets, electronics, sea turtles, and more - all through fun, hands-on activities that build personal, engineering and technology skills.

The Camp to Classroom series from Science Camps of America brings some of the best of these activities into your school to provide a unique opportunity for your students.

 

Objectives

  • Students participate in hands-on, fun activities that encourage learning as well as excitement and passion for science topics.
  • Students utilize engineering and technology to reinforce understanding of scientific principles.
  • Students exercise their individual and group imagination and creativity enhancing their confidence and abilities.

Programs

  • Mission to Mars: Rockets, landers, and rovers. Astronomy, physics, chemistry, aerodynamics.
  • Under the Surface: Tides to turtles. Oceanography, marine biology, hydrology.
  • Three-two-one-Blastoff: Build and launch model rockets. Rocketry, physics, aerodynamics.
  • If You Build It Maker Lab: Build a solar USB charger. Electronics, circuitry, soldering.
  • Additional and customized programs also available.

All programs aligned with Hawaiʻi state science and math standards.
